Inspired by nature's awesome combinations of color and form, Lou Ann Smith has worked with painting, printmaking, quilting and ceramics as a creative outlet.
Lou Ann started working in clay while earning a BA in Art Studio at UCSB in 1993. She continued working in ceramics at SBCC through 2005. She spent the next 15 years working exclusively in fabric art, winning several awards and a place at Quilt National. In September 2019 she returned to working in clay and is very happily engaged in a deeper exploration of center, form, texture and color. |
